Grassroots Grants- Open Now

Groundwork will soon be reopening applications for its Grassroots Grants Programme, offering grants of up to £2,000 to support small charities, community interest companies (CICs), and voluntary or community groups across England.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is aimed at the smallest community organisations, with priority given to:

• Groups with an annual income under £25,000
• Organisations working in areas within the top 15% on the English Indices of Deprivation
• Groups supporting marginalised or vulnerable communities

What the Fund Supports

The funding is unrestricted, giving groups flexibility to use it where it is needed most, such as:

• Staff or volunteer expenses
• Equipment or materials
• Core or ongoing running costs
• Training for staff and volunteers
• Consultant support for organisational development or policy work
