Climate Ambassadors — support the education sector reduce its climate impact and become more resilient!

Share your expertise to support climate action and sustainability in local education settings. Minimum commitment — 1 day a year.

What the scheme asks

The Climate Ambassadors scheme is looking for people across the East Riding who can volunteer time to support schools, colleges and other education settings with sustainability projects. Support can be:

  • Short-term specialist advice or one-off talks
  • Medium to long-term involvement as a change agent
  • Delivered in-person or online, for one or multiple settings

What you’ll receive

Volunteers are offered the following at no cost:

  • Free DBS check
  • Safeguarding training
  • Climate Ambassador training
  • Resources and ongoing support from the Yorkshire & Humber regional hub
