Community Events and Opportunities Ecological Management Plan and Working Party
Ecological Management Plan and Working Party
Molescroft Parish Council funded an Ecological Management Plan, developed by Caring for God’s Acre. As part of its implementation, Molescroft Wildlife Network is arranging a working party to clear vegetation on Thursday 14 August, after cutting by ERYC. This will help native flowers thrive. Volunteers will rake the arisings, wheelbarrow them to a flatbed truck, and transport them to a local compost heap.
If you would like to join, please email Molescroftwn@gmail.com as soon as possible so enough equipment and refreshments can be prepared.
The day will be led by Andy Steele, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Molescroft Grange Community Allotments will accept the arisings for their compost heap.
Molescroft Wildlife Environmental Education Forum (MWEEF)
Two primary schools and one secondary school took part in the Mighty Molescroft Minibeast Hunt in the graveyard. The event was a great success, with a full photo diary available to view.
