Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund – Join the Conversation
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has announced a Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund to support local initiatives improving digital access and participation. This is a great opportunity to secure funding for our region to benefit residents most in need.
Key Themes for Funding
- Category 1: Scale proven digital inclusion models
- Category 2: Test new approaches to gather evidence on what works
- Category 3: Purchase tools and tech to support delivery (e.g. laptops, software)
Who Can Apply?
Charities, local authorities, combined authorities, and research organisations – individually or in consortiums – are eligible.
Target Groups
Projects should focus on at least one of the following demographics:
- Low-income households
- Older people
- Disabled people
- People seeking work
- Young people (including NEETs)

We’re coordinating a regional bid and want to hear from organisations interested in shaping this initiative. If you’d like to take part or propose a project idea:
- Email your interest and ideas by Friday 7 August
- Let us know any dates you’re unavailable the following week for a planning meeting
Applications open 18 August and remain open for one month.
