Amazon Launches New Regional Creatives Fund
Amazon has announced a new Regional Creatives Fund to support registered UK charities working to upskill underserved communities for careers in the creative industries.
Funding Available
- Individual Charities: Grants between £1,000 and £10,000 for small-scale enhancement projects.
- Consortiums: Grants up to £100,000 for collaborative regional delivery across multiple organisations. Funds will be split equally, with an additional discretionary award for the lead partner.
Examples of Fund Usage
Funding could support:
- Adding a new module to an existing course
- Increasing access for specific groups (e.g. disabled participants, care leavers)
- Purchasing equipment or software to improve participant experience
- Partnering across regions to reach wider audiences
- Co-designing interdisciplinary creative programmes
- Expanding reach through trusted partner networks
Eligibility Criteria
- UK registered charity (or consortium of 3+ charities) with income below £5 million per charity
- Currently running a creative upskilling programme with proven impact
- Programmes must operate in sectors such as: publishing, film/TV/performance, music, advertising, fashion, or gaming
- Funding must support an existing programme (not a new initiative)
Amazon is particularly interested in supporting long-term partnerships and applications from areas identified as significantly underserved. These include: North East England, Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, West Yorkshire, West Midlands, Greater London, West of England, South Wales, Glasgow City Region, Edinburgh City Region, Dundee, and Northern Ireland.
Applicants must show measurable impact to date and provide a clear plan for how the funding will grow, improve, or innovate their work.
