NHS Cadets – Humber Programme Now Open for Applications

We’re pleased to announce that the Humber NHS Cadet Programme is returning for its third year, offering a unique and rewarding opportunity for young people aged 15–18 living in Hull and the East Riding.

Programme Details

Delivered in partnership with St John Ambulance, this 16-week programme features weekly 2-hour sessions every Wednesday evening. It’s ideal for young individuals who want to:

• Explore key health and wellbeing topics
• Learn how the NHS operates
• Develop life and employability skills
• Build confidence and form new friendships
• Gain valuable experience for their CV

The programme is designed to be interactive, engaging, and informative – helping young people make informed choices about their future in healthcare or related fields.

Support and Recognition

Each participant will receive personalised support from our dedicated NHS Cadet Team. Sessions will be tailored to match the interests and aspirations of each cadet. Upon completion, participants will be awarded a certificate to recognise their achievement and commitment.
