New Grants to Help Communities Prevent Heart Disease – Apply by 9 July 2025

Small charities and CICs in Scotland can now apply for grants of up to £15,000 to run new projects aimed at reducing the risk of coronary heart disease in their communities.

The programme supports preventative, community-led health projects that help adults adopt healthier lifestyles, particularly those who are vulnerable or isolated and at greater risk of heart disease.

Who Can Apply?

  • Registered charities or Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Annual income of under £1 million
  • Based in Scotland
  • Understanding of local demographics and health needs

What Can Be Funded?

Funding is for projects lasting 3 to 12 months, with a primary focus on one or more of the following:

  • Nutrition and Healthy Eating
  • Physical Activity
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol consumption

Eligible costs include salaries, overheads, and essential equipment for delivering the project.

Application Deadline

Wednesday, 9 July 2025 (5:00 PM)

There is one funding round annually for projects in Scotland.
