Material Focus, an independent not-for-profit, is offering grants to support projects that help the public repair, reuse, or recycle their electricals. The goal is to prevent hoarding and reduce the volume of electrical waste ending up in landfills.
Funding Available
- Up to £100,000 to expand small electrical collection methods (up to £0.50 per household covered)
- Up to £50,000 to trial innovative repair, reuse, or recycling methods (larger requests considered with strong impact)
Projects must run for at least one year and should demonstrate a tangible benefit to households and the environment.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to a range of registered organisations, including:
- Charities and community groups
- Local authorities and waste partnerships
- Private waste contractors and businesses
- Compliance schemes and other eligible entities
Material Focus also provides project management support to help ensure successful delivery.
