The Woodward Charitable Trust (WCT) has refined its funding priorities to focus exclusively on organisations supporting disadvantaged families and children aged 0–11 years. This opportunity is aimed at helping organisations meet their core running costs.
Funding Overview
- Grants of up to £10,000 per year
- Available for up to three consecutive years
- One-off grants are also considered
- Maximum of three years of funding within any five-year period
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are welcomed from organisations that are:
- Registered UK charities, CIOs, CICs, or exempt charities
- With income of up to £200,000 in the last financial year
- With unrestricted reserves below 50% of income
Priority Focus Areas
- Parenting and caregiving support
- Educational support (in or out of school)
- Wellbeing and development activities for children
- Pre-natal and post-natal services
What Costs Are Funded?
This fund supports core costs rather than project-specific work. Eligible costs include:
- Staff salaries
- Office rent and utilities
- Administrative costs
- Audit, accountancy, and compliance
- Fundraising and general operations

Applications are reviewed twice annually, typically in March and November.
