You're Invited: Help Shape the Future of Inclusion Health in East Riding
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Public Health team warmly invites you to a CPD session exploring the next phase of our Inclusion Health Needs Assessment.

This session will focus on Phase II, where we aim to gather real stories and insights from people with lived experience of inclusion health challenges. Your involvement will help shape meaningful recommendations for positive change across the East Riding.

When: Tuesday 10th June 2025, 13:00-15:00

Where: Beverley Enterprise Centre, Beck View Rd, Beverley, HU17 OJT

What is Inclusion Health?
Inclusion Health focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of people who are socially excluded and often experience multiple, overlapping challenges—such as poverty, violence, and complex trauma—that put them at greater risk of poor health.

Groups commonly recognised within Inclusion Health include:

People who are homeless or sleeping rough

Sex workers

People dependent on drugs or alcohol

Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities

Victims of modern slavery

Vulnerable migrants and refugees

People involved in the criminal justice system

Other marginalised or underserved communities may also fall under Inclusion Health, depending on their experiences and needs.

Why We’re Reaching Out to You?
We’re inviting frontline professionals to lead these important conversations because of the trusted relationships you already have with people from Inclusion Health groups. You’re in a unique position to create safe, informal spaces where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

If this doesn’t feel relevant to your current role, we’d really appreciate it if you could share this invitation with colleagues or through your networks—especially with anyone you think is well-placed to support this work and help make a difference.

Your Voice Matters
Your insight is vital in making sure that people who are often unheard have a real influence on how services are shaped and delivered.

This CPD session will:

Introduce our approach to consultation and the values that guide it

Walk you through the Inclusion Health Consultation Guidance

Explore how to run ethical, sustainable consultations that are meaningful and beneficial for everyone involved
