VCSE

This free 1-day in-person event will be hosted at the Humberside Police conference suite at Melton 2, Wyke Way, North Ferriby HU14 3BQ on Tuesday the 22nd of October 2024, 09:40 – 16:30.

The event will bring together professionals from statutory and third-sector organisations and community groups to discuss the role community and culture play as both drivers and deterrents of modern slavery in the region. You will hear from a wide range of experts and people who have direct and lived experience of working with and living in underrepresented communities affected by modern slavery and identity-based oppression.

This year’s event will also be the launch day for a new Humber wide anti-slavery campaign funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside and developed with partners from all four Community Safety Partnerships and Humber Modern Slavery Partnership local authority forums.
