Free Data Sim Distribution Project to all Libraries
Great news. The offer of free data sims, provided by The Good Things Foundation’s National Data Bank, to those in financial difficulty has now been expanded to all 23 East Riding of Yorkshire Council branch Libraries with effect from Tuesday 12th March.
This is a great scheme which provides up to 6 months of free mobile phone data to those who are:
• 18 years or over
• Living in a low income household
• Unable to afford data either in the home or away from it
Once you, your organisation or teams have registered as a Referring Organisation and you consider anyone to meet this general criteria, they can be referred into the scheme through a Library of their choice, it’s that simple.
We accept your referral as the check against the criteria so no further questions will be asked regarding their financial situation. Please note - if you registered for Phase 1 (10 Libraries) you don’t need to register again.
The sims are subject to availability but are allocated as often as monthly and the more issued, the more can be requested.
Please note though that sims will not be issued without a referral.
