Carers Information and Support Programme (CrISP) – Free Online Workshops for Dementia Carers

For VCSE organisations working alongside unpaid carers, older people, or families affected by dementia, this is a valuable opportunity to share with your networks and service users.
What is CrISP?

Participants will explore:

- Available support and local services
The sessions are relaxed and interactive, creating space for carers to connect and share experiences with others in similar situation

Why This Matters for the VCSE Sector
Across East Riding and the wider Humber region, unpaid carers play a vital role in supporting people living with dementia. Many carers do not immediately identify themselves as such and may not access available support.
As trusted community partners, VCSE organisations are often best placed to:
- Identify hidden carers
- Encourage early access to information and guidance
- Reduce isolation through signposting to peer support
- Strengthen preventative approaches to wellbeing
Sharing CrISP through your newsletters, social media, community groups, and frontline teams could make a meaningful difference to carers who may otherwise struggle in silence.
