Have your say: help shape a 10-year cancer plan for Humber and North Yorkshire
Following the recent publication of the National Cancer Plan, Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is developing a Humber and North Yorkshire–specific 10-year plan for cancer services — and they’re asking for support from partners across the VCSE sector to help shape it.
This is a real opportunity to make sure the voices, experiences, and insights from our communities are reflected in how cancer services are designed and delivered over the next decade — particularly for people and communities experiencing the greatest health inequalities.
How you can help
We’re asking VCSE organisations, groups, and individuals to get involved in two simple but important ways:
Complete the survey yourself
Share your views on what should be included in the Humber and North Yorkshire 10-year cancer plan. Your perspective as someone working alongside communities is invaluable.

Share the survey with your networks
Please circulate the survey widely and encourage others to take part. The survey is open to:
- People affected by cancer (patients and carers)
- Those working in cancer services
- The general public
- People from communities experiencing the greatest health inequalities
- Those working in non-cancer specific health and care roles
The broader and more diverse the responses, the stronger and more inclusive the plan will be.
Why this matters for the VCSE sector
VCSE organisations play a crucial role in prevention, early diagnosis, support during treatment, and living well beyond cancer. Your insight helps ensure the plan:
- Reflects real community needs and lived experience
- Addresses inequalities in access, outcomes, and support
- Recognises the value of VCSE-led services and partnerships
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and for helping to spread the word. Your engagement will directly influence the future of cancer services across Humber and North Yorkshire.
