East Riding Voluntary and Community Groups Invited to Share Insights in New Volunteering Survey
Smile is inviting East Riding voluntary and community groups to take part in a new survey designed to capture valuable insights into volunteering trends, challenges, and opportunities.
The survey, launched by the Smile Community Development Team, aims to better understand the current landscape of volunteering in East Riding and identify areas where support is most needed.
With the East Riding known for its vibrant voluntary and community sector, volunteers are a vital lifeline for local charities, social enterprises, and community groups. However, the changing landscape of volunteering has brought unique challenges and opportunities that require fresh insights and solutions.
By participating in this survey, groups across East Riding will have a chance to share their experiences and highlight the support they need to continue their essential work.
The survey covers topics such as:
- Volunteer recruitment and retention
- Training and development needs
- New opportunities for volunteering in East Riding
Sophie Bartup, Community Development Manager, said: “Volunteers play an essential role in the strength and resilience of our communities. With this survey, we hope to gather information directly from the groups who rely on volunteers, so we can tailor support and resources to better meet their needs. We’re encouraging every voluntary and community group in East Riding to take part and share their valuable insights.”
The results of the survey will help shape future initiatives and policies to bolster the voluntary and community sector, ensuring that volunteers receive the support and recognition they deserve. All data collected will be used to develop new resources, funding opportunities, and support networks that can help local groups thrive.
If you’re a part of a voluntary or community group in East Riding, make sure your voice is heard by participating in the survey. The survey can be accessed here.
