The Child Poverty Unit established by the government is due to report next Spring. They're seeking input from organisations through the completion of a questionnaire.

The Child Poverty Unit are drawing the evidence for the strategy through a range of approaches, working directly with people across and outside Government and building on the wealth of evidence that already exists on the drivers, impacts and experience of Child Poverty.

If you have any ideas, examples or evidence, please do take the time to complete the form below and please keep your contributions as concise as possible. The kind of information they are looking for is as follows:

• If you would like to share views or evidence about reducing and alleviating the impacts of child poverty generally

• If you would like to share views or evidence about how we could increase incomes

• If you would like to share views or evidence about how we could reduce essential costs

• If you would like to share views or evidence about how we could increase financial resilience

• If you would like to share views or evidence about how we could enhance local and community support

They unit are also accepting submissions of data in the form of excel, pdf, power-point etc that can be emailed to childpoverty.secretariat@cabinetoffice.gov.uk

The Child Poverty Unit sits in the Cabinet Office. The unit will begin to bring evidence into proposals for ministers in January and February, so  submissions should be put forward by the end of December if possible. 

There will be a lot of evidence throughout Hull and East Riding so please take this opportunity to try and make positive change happen for our communities.
