Introduction

East Riding of Yorkshire is a distinctive landscape that includes almost 1,000 square miles of coast and countryside. With 333 settlements, ranging from large towns, to small isolated hamlets and farmsteads, presenting a range of challenges for rural communities in need of support and services.  

The East Riding VCSE Network brings together the passion, resources and innovation from the local community. Maximising shared interests and knowledge to explore new ways of collaborative working that will strengthen and enable thriving East Riding communities. 

Our aims 

  • To develop the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and it’s partnerships within the East Riding of Yorkshire 
  • To provide a single point in which the VCSE can meet with each other and relevant public and private sector partners in the interest of all beneficiaries  

Priorities 2020-22

1. Enhance the voice of the sector

A coordinated voice that raises local issues and inspires change. 

2. Evidence impact and value

Collective social impact that’s understood and valued.

3. Inspire and create new opportunities for VCSE 

Apply good governance to improve openness and broker new relationships. 

4. Strong VCSE representation

Local strategies are co-produced with the VCSE to create shared actions. Membership
