An update from East Riding of Yorkshire on all things COVID19.

Key Updates:

  • New cases – the reduction in numbers has slowed
  • 7 day rate of new cases – East Riding rate plateaued. Currently 79 per 100,000 (15 March), remaining lower than Humber region but higher than England
  • Cases in older people – numbers continue to remain high in the very elderly but their rates have reduced dramatically over the last month
  • Rates have decreased in about half of East Riding communities
  • Hospitalisation due to COVID-19 – numbers of COVID patients occupying beds continues to decrease but pressure will remain on hospital services for foreseeable future
