We'd like to encourage you to nominate amazing volunteers across Hull, East Yorkshire, North & North East Lincolnshire. It could be a friend, family member, one of your own volunteers, or a colleague. If you yourself are a volunteer, please do shamelessly hint and share!

Join us at the Awards:

We'd love for you to join us at the Awards Ceremony to celebrate how amazing volunteers are! Whether you have nominated someone, have been nominated, or just keen to join in the celebrations like us, please purchase your ticket(s). Tickets are £15 which includes a drinks reception and a sparkling afternoon tea. Tables, seating 8-12 can be purchased at £15 per person.

It’s not only about the volunteers who feature at the event, we want to recognise all volunteers and celebrate the collective force of volunteers. Therefore, we would love you to get involved with the making of a short volunteering film, which will be showcased at the Awards. We are looking for people to record a short video clip of themselves saying the reason(s) why they volunteer, or, why they love their volunteers and a thank you to them.

A prize draw will be opened for all video entries – with free tickets to give away to join the event, which includes the drinks reception and sparkling afternoon tea.

Videos can be simply recorded on a smart phone or tablet and sent via email to Ellie Goodyear esg@heysmilefoundation.org or to her via WhatsApp to 07706 338813.

By submitting your video, you are agreeing for the HEY Smile Foundation to use your clip at the awards and other relevant promotional channels linked to Volunteering.

Please film landscape and start your video with:

1. I volunteer because… followed by your reasons (it could be to support employment, enhance your career development, help with loneliness and isolation, overcome an illness, make friends, meet new people, to help others, or something else? Make it long or short, we’d love to hear from you. If you have more of a story to tell, please do share.
2. We use volunteers because… followed by your reasons (how do volunteers help support and deliver your service, support your club or community, how do they impact? We want to hear from you).
